Mumbai, February 25: Poco India has begun teasing the launch of its upcoming smartphone series, the Poco X8 Pro. The brand shared a post on X, stating, “Smart minds will wait for the smarter phone. They don’t rush. So shouldn’t you. #POCO.” Another teaser hints at the X series with the phrase, “People with high IQ will wait for what’s coming neXt!” highlighting the letter X.

While the company has yet to confirm the product names, the timing of the teaser suggests that the launch is imminent. Reports indicate that the Poco X8 series could debut in India in early March, featuring two models: the Poco X8 Pro and the Poco X8 Pro Max, with specification details already leaked.

The Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to sport a 6.83-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. It may be powered by the Dimensity 9500s processor, paired with an Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU. The device is also anticipated to include LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

For photography, it could feature a 50MP Light Hunter 600 main sensor with optical image stabilization, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 20MP OV20B front camera is also expected. The phone may house a substantial 8,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging. Additional features could include dual stereo speakers, LHDC 5.0 audio support, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The device is projected to measure 8.15mm thick and weigh 219 grams.

The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, along with a 20MP front camera. The phone may come equipped with a 6,500mAh battery featuring 100W charging and 27W reverse charging. It could also showcase a metal frame, NFC, IR blaster, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Additionally, the X8 Pro may be available in a special Iron Man-themed edition, with leaked images of this variant surfacing online.
