The highly anticipated Poco F7 Ultra has officially landed at our review desk ahead of its global debut next week. As Poco’s first Ultra-branded phone, the F7 Ultra brings premium flair, top-tier hardware, and a unique design aimed at disrupting the flagship segment.
Striking Design and Ergonomics
The review unit we received sports Poco’s signature yellow finish with a bold double-texture rear panel—glossy at the top and matte at the bottom, helping to resist fingerprints while adding visual contrast. The quad-curved glass back enhances the grip, and despite its size, the phone feels comfortable in hand. Tipping the scales just above 210 grams, it’s right in line with the previous generation F6 Pro.
A circular camera module, placed slightly off-center, adds character to the design. The flat metal frame is home to the volume rocker and power button on the right, providing a solid and responsive feel.
Display and Performance Highlights
Up front, the Poco F7 Ultra features a vibrant 6.67-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The bezels are impressively slim, and Poco has opted for an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a welcome move for faster and more accurate unlocking.
Although full performance benchmarks are still underway, the initial software experience—based on Android 15 and Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2—feels fluid. Poco’s version of HyperOS includes the HyperAI suite and Google Gemini integration, promising smart optimization, AI-based performance enhancements, and more.
