PM Modi Reduces Number of Vehicles in Convoy Amid Energy Conservation Appeal

New Delhi, May 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has significantly reduced the number of vehicles in his convoy. This decision comes in light of his appeal for energy conservation.

To lower fuel consumption, PM Modi has cut down the number of vehicles in his official convoy while ensuring that all necessary security measures under SPG protocol remain intact.

A recently surfaced video shows PM Modi’s convoy appearing notably smaller, consisting of only a few vehicles.

Sources indicate that during his recent visit to Assam for Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s oath-taking ceremony and at the Somnath Amrit Mahotsav in Gujarat, the Prime Minister’s convoy was also considerably smaller than usual.

The SPG has begun implementing the Prime Minister’s directives and has reduced the number of vehicles, while maintaining essential security arrangements.

This move by the Prime Minister is viewed as a message that the government is also taking steps towards fuel conservation and reducing expenses, which may encourage other ministers and leaders to adopt similar measures.

Additionally, Union Minister Jitendra Singh was seen traveling in a single vehicle, as evidenced by a video where no accompanying security or pilot vehicle was visible.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister has urged citizens to reduce fuel consumption and make greater use of public transport options like metros, carpooling, and electric vehicles. He has also encouraged prioritizing domestic travel over foreign trips and purchasing gold.

According to sources, the Prime Minister has also instructed the inclusion of electric vehicles in his convoy.
