Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Bilaspur-Pathrapali four-lane. Chief Minister Raman Singh, and Union Minister of Road Transport, Nitin Gadkari were present on the occasion.
Addressing the Kisan Sammelan, Prime MInister talked at length about the efforts of the Central Government and the Chhattisgarh Government towards the welfare of the state’s farmers, youth and poor.

Prime Minsiter said that former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s idea of creating smaller states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand has resulted in development of hilly and backward areas in these regions.
Prime Minister said that earlier Chhattigarh was know for naxalism but now, due to policy adopted by the state govt, the state is counted among vibrant states in the country.
Prime MInister also said that now farmers are now easily getting urea due to reforms like neem coated urea.
