Pune, October 15 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Persistent Systems surged over 7% after the company reported a strong set of quarterly earnings for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26). The stock was trading at Rs. 5700.75, up by 376.50 points or 7.07% from its previous close of Rs. 5324.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5545.00 and touched a high of Rs. 5730.60 and a low of Rs. 5456.35 during the session. A total of 92,707 shares were traded on the counter. The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of Rs. 5, has touched a 52-week high of Rs. 6788.80 (20-Dec-2024) and a 52-week low of Rs. 4163.80 (07-Apr-2025).
During the past week, the stock traded between Rs. 5730.60 and Rs. 5201.15. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 89,467.06 crore. Promoters hold 30.56%, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 51.83% and 17.61%, respectively.
For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, Persistent Systems reported a 45.07% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs. 471.47 crore, compared to Rs. 325.00 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s total consolidated income grew 23.40% to Rs. 3,632.50 crore, up from Rs. 2,943.67 crore a year earlier.
On a standalone basis, net profit jumped 62.59% to Rs. 464.72 crore, as against Rs. 285.82 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income for the period stood at Rs. 3,538.58 crore, marking a 22.13% increase from Rs. 2,897.35 crore in Q2FY25.
The company’s strong growth reflects continued demand for its digital engineering, cloud, and AI-driven services, along with efficient cost management and improved operating margins.
