Prayagraj/Lucknow, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has started two major recruitment processes from Monday, marking an important day for thousands of aspirants across the state.

In Lucknow, the computer-based Hindi typing test for the Assistant Review Officer (ARO) post has commenced, while in Prayagraj, interviews for the prestigious PCS-2024 examination have begun.
The ARO typing test, conducted under the RO-ARO Examination 2023, is being held at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Aliganj, Lucknow. The examination will continue till February 19. Candidates have been given the option to choose between two fonts — Kruti Dev-010 and Mangal (Inscript).
The test is being conducted in two daily sessions: from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Meanwhile, interviews for PCS-2024 are being held at the Commission’s headquarters, Saraswati Bhawan, in Prayagraj. The interview process will continue till March 20 and will be conducted over 23 working days in two shifts daily.
The Commission had declared the mains examination result on February 4 and announced the interview schedule on February 5.
A total of 947 vacancies across 24 categories are to be filled through this recruitment drive. Of these, 60 posts will be filled solely on the basis of the written examination. The remaining 887 posts will be filled through interviews, for which 2,719 candidates have been shortlisted.
The Commission has issued clear guidelines for interview candidates. They must carry a self-attested set of all application forms and verification documents, index code and marks details, eligibility forms, educational certificates, and five photographs — two self-attested and three plain passport-size photographs.
