UDAIPUR, 1 September (Kiran News). The new academic session for second-year MBA students at the Faculty of Management, Pacific University, Udaipur, commenced with a comprehensive three-day orientation programme focused on enhancing students’ employability skills. The initiative aimed to introduce students to various professional aspects that will help them progress in their future careers.

On the first day, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Professor Dipin Mathur, encouraged students to prepare diligently for the future by identifying their strengths and weaknesses and working continuously to polish their personalities. He guided students on building a unique personal identity and explained how curiosity, a positive outlook, and resilience in facing life’s challenges are essential for achieving goals. Through real-life examples, he motivated students not to give up amid their new journey.
The first day also included a session on decision-making strategies and related activities. Students engaged in case studies to understand how strategic decisions are implemented in the corporate world. These sessions were led by Professor Dipin Mathur and Dr. Narendra Singh Chawda.
On the second day, the first session was conducted by Vishu Rai, General Manager (HR) at Econ Group, who advised students to prepare themselves for the transition from campus to the corporate world. He emphasized the importance of skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making for future success. In another session, Professor Pushpakant Shakdwipi held a workshop on emotional intelligence, covering self-awareness, emotional regulation, self-motivation, and how to manage emotions in challenging situations.
On the third day, the first session featured Manish Garhwal, Alumni Head of Operations and Logistics at Indian Phosphate Limited, who gave students guidance on corporate conduct. Dr. Gaurav Joshi and Ayushi Mali organized role-play sessions on various management domains such as HR, finance, and marketing. Through these role plays, students developed professional knowledge and skills by simulating specific roles or situations, including job interviews, conflict resolution, and customer service, thereby gaining practical insights into the corporate world.
This thoughtfully designed orientation programme for second-year MBA students was conducted from 28 to 30 August 2025 under the guidance of the entire faculty team. The inauguration began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, and the faculty motivated students to pursue their dreams and make the most of the extensive academic, non-academic, and research opportunities provided by the institution.
Programme coordinators Dr. Pallavi Mehta and Dr. Jaya Sharma shared their views on “Campus to Corporate: The Connecting Links,” highlighting the importance of employability skills and advising students to be career-conscious before starting their regular classes. The Faculty of Management aims for the holistic development of its students and to acquaint them with new avenues of entrepreneurship and employment.
