OnePlus 12 might have a less ugly camera module, updated renders suggest

The OnePlus 12 will be released later this year and is expected to share a common design. However, the new renders suggest that the camera module will be similar to the brand’s previous versions.

When the OnePlus 12 first leaked in July, the design was similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10T, and OnePlus 11, with a curved glass back and a large, round camera module in the top left corner. Although there were some structural issues with the early versions, overall the design was good.

According to @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, images seen in July (by @OnLeaks) are not entirely accurate for a device in development today. It’s probably a camera module replacement. The OnePlus 12 is expected to be the brand’s first smartphone to feature a periscope camera lens, with previous renders showing a large rectangular notch below the other two sensors.

Updated renders based on “preparation” images of the OnePlus 12 show a third camera lens that’s circular like the other two, but with empty spaces to form a fourth circle in the module. Although it looks a little different, it looks much more attractive than the previous leak.

Also, the overall design appears unchanged, with the same perforation, shape and placement. The OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in China in December.
