Notices in Udr court premises pointing grave corruption charges on DJ send judiciary in tizzy

Udaipur : Notices put up at several places in the court premises on Saturday accusing the District and Session Judge of taking money from parties to decide cases in their  favour sent the entire judicial community in a tizzy. Though, the judicial administration hasn’t taken a cognizance in the matter,  however, the Bar Association has condemned the incident and claimed it as a serious insult and attack on judiciary. The bar association has called for meeting on monday and a fact  finding committee would be constituted to find out the person or  group who committed the act. A delegation also met the judge to discuss the matter, however, no official statement was released till late evening.

The incident came to light when some of the advocates  who happened to arrive early in the morning, spotted notices pasted on walls and  pillars at different places in the district and session court premises here. The matter was immediately reported to the office bearers of the bar association as well as the judicial administration. The staff  later pulled down the notices, however,  many people who had clicked the pictures, made it viral on the social media and hence  the news spread everywhere. ”  We came to  know of the incident from the social media, however, we were not given any information by the court administration nor have received any complaint so far” Harendra Sauda, SHO  Bhupalpura police  station said. Interestingly, there are three gates to enter the court premises and there are CCTV cameras installed at major junctions and locations so that any major incident happening within the premises doesnt go unnoticed.

According to lawyers, the miscreants had perhaps arrived early morning and put up the notices for public view. The notice carries description of five cases with case numbers wherein it was accused that the Judicial officer had received 1.90 crore rupees and decided the cases in favour of the beneficiaries. The notice also mentions names of two agents who had been mediators between the judicial officer and parties. Satirically, the notice called out for public attention asking the common people to avail the opportunity and take similar benefit to get decisions in their  favour. ” It is a shameful act and we condemn such uncouth behaviour. A fact finding committee would be framed and we will try to figure out the culprit. An appropriate action would be accordingly taken” RamKripa Sharma, President of Udaipur Bar Association told Udaipur Kiran.
