Nothing Phone 2a was launched in India on March 5. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimension chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support. The device ships with Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14. The phone recently received the Nothing OS 2.5.3 update, which brings some important updates to the camera experience. Now the UK-based OEM has announced that the new Nothing OS 2.5.4 update is rolling out to Phone 2a users.
The London-based company announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Nothing OS 2.5.4 update is rolling out to the Nothing Phone 2a. To upgrade to Nothing OS 2.5.4, Phone 2a users can go to Settings > System > System Update. In the same post, the company also explained the change history of the update. The update includes improved color accuracy and saturation for the rear camera, as well as color consistency between the main and ultra-wide rear cameras.
As for the changes, the NothingOS 2.5.4 update for Phone 2a improves overall camera performance and offers an “optimized” bokeh effect in portrait mode. The Nothing OS 2.5.4 update aims to optimize the overall performance of mobile games, including BGMI. This update also improves the animation of the recording widget and removes the stuttering animations when starting and exiting the app.
The NothingOS 2.5.4 update for Phone 2a also includes several bug fixes. Fixed a flickering issue some users experienced when launching apps from the Home screen. In addition, the issue of displaying wallpaper on the main screen and lock screen has also been resolved in this update. The issue of cell phone information and Wi-Fi information not displaying correctly has been resolved through quick settings and dimming the screen during incoming calls. This update also improves the overall stability of your phone.
The Nothing Phone 2a, which comes in black and white, is priced at Rs 20 lakh. The 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 23,999, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs 23,999. 25,999 Rs. 27,999 each.
