Amaravati, September 17 (Udaipur Kiran) : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicated to elevating India to the status of a developed nation. Speaking at the Varanasi-Vadnagar Seva Sankalp Yatra event, Naidu emphasized Modi’s belief that serving the people is synonymous with serving the nation.
During his address, Naidu highlighted various initiatives and achievements of the central government, noting that Kashi, or Varanasi, is Modi’s political stronghold, where he has been elected to the Lok Sabha three times. He remarked that Kashi has not only chosen a leader for the city but has also provided a leader for the entire country.
Naidu began his speech with a few words in Hindi, expressing that the country is undergoing significant change and continuous progress. He claimed that under Modi’s leadership, 250 million people have risen above poverty, while 800 million have received free food grains. He also mentioned that initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT have provided drinking water access to four million families.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the PM Kisan scheme has benefitted 110 million farmers, with direct financial support reaching their bank accounts without intermediaries. He praised Modi for providing strong leadership during global crises, ensuring the welfare of 1.4 billion Indians.
Referencing the COVID-19 pandemic, Naidu noted that Modi encouraged the production of 200 crore vaccine doses and provided vaccines to 101 countries, showcasing India’s commitment to global health.
Naidu commended the self-reliant India policies that have bolstered the ‘Make in India’ initiative, transforming India from a major importer of defense equipment to an exporter. He stressed the importance of emerging technologies like space, drones, quantum technology, semiconductors, and robotics, which are creating new opportunities for the youth.
He also highlighted the vibrant startup ecosystem in India, noting that the country ranks third globally in this sector, with 220,000 startups enabling youth to become job creators rather than job seekers.
Naidu praised Modi’s initiatives for women’s welfare and empowerment, mentioning schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Lakshmi Didis, Ujjwala, and Mudra, which enhance women’s economic participation and confidence. He expressed optimism that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which provides 33% reservation for women in legislatures, will bring significant change.
The Chief Minister asserted that India has emerged as a formidable global power, referencing Operation Sindoor in the context of security challenges and congratulating Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his efforts.
Naidu reflected on the progress made in combating Naxalism and Maoism, and he praised the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, stating that it fulfills a long-held aspiration of the people. He also expressed the Andhra Pradesh government’s desire to build a temple for Lord Venkateswara in Ayodhya and requested 10 acres of land from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Varanasi-Vadnagar Seva Yatra was initiated as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign, connecting Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi with his birthplace Vadnagar.
