By B D Naraayannkar Hosapete (Karnataka), April 17 : Carrying forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unflinching zeal of ensuring last-mile delivery and development narrative, BJP’s National president JP Nadda on Sunday listed out achievements of the party’s governance in states and at the Centre, asking party ‘Karyakartas’ to enlighten and woo the people of Karnataka ahead of 2023 assembly elections. This political investment in ensuring last-mile delivery development narrative is being propagated consistently through various platforms and has reaped massive political dividend for the BJP in just-concluded 2022 Assembly elections on the issue of governance. The last-mile delivery narration has resulted in the BJP creating a chemistry that resonates with the electorate. Needless to say, PM Modi has an unmatched connection with the masses. And that is what Nadda was appealing to the state BJP karyakartas to carry forward ahead of 2023 assembly election during the State Executive Committee Meeting held here. Lauding the resolution of “Mission Repeat” passed by BJP’s Executive Committee Meeting held here, Nadda exuded confidence that the party will romp home to power in Karnataka in 2023. “In the coming days, “Mission Repeat” will chug along. And what will be our mantra to carry forward this mission? Our mantra is very clear. Nation First. After that party and self last. Meaning, we are all dedicated and devoted with a mission to see that India goes forward and we are also ready to see that the party becomes the instrument and I become the instrument of change. You have taken this forward. I would like to congratulate you,” Nadda said. “For a change, we have to become a good instrument of change because the change will take place only because of us and so we have to become the good instrument of change. And when I say good instrument of change, our vision and mission should be very clear,” he added. “We are not here to occupy chairs. We are not here to become MLAs, MPs, or ministers, but we are here to see that, because of us the change takes place in the society and the last-mile delivery if we are able to do. This is what we have to take care of,” Nadda said. For instance, he said as many as 12 crore farmers are benefitting from Pradhan Mantri Fasal Beema Yojana. Moreover, as many as 11 crore farmers are also benefiting from Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana, out of which 58 lakh farmers alone from Karnataka are the beneficiaries, he said. “Karnataka farmers get Rs 6,000 from central and another Rs 4,000 from Bommai government under the scheme. This we should remember,” Nadda added. He said no one has done as much work for farmers as PM Modi and as much as BJP governments have done since independence. “I want to ask which is the party that has empowered the farmer? Today we talk about farmers. And I know since independence, there have been many leaders who have tried to become the architect of farmers. They have tried to synomise themselves with the word farmers.” “But I want to set the record straight. That if we talk about BJP and talk about the country, then no one has done as much work for farmers as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP governments did,” he said. Nadda also said as many as 3.11 crore people have taken the benefit under Ayushman Bharat in the country and Rs 23,000 crore have been spent on poor people’s health coverage. Likewise, as many as 45 crore people are beneficiaries under Jan Dhan Yojana, out of which 1.65 crore have been benefited by people in Karnataka, he said. Moreover, 11 crore toilets have been made under Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and in Karnataka 46.31 lakh toilets have been made, Nadda said. “These are not just toilets. These are not izzat ghars. You imagine in Karnataka also 46.31 lakh people used to go out for defecation. See the plight of the women. What type of dignity was given to her. Today under Modi’s leadership; under Bommai ji’s leadership, we can say that 11 crore people have been given an opport ty to live with dignity. This is not an easy task,” he said. “I always tell Congress that in your seven decades of rule how much you have compromised human dignity. But Narendra Modi gave them an opport ty for 11 crore people to live with dignity,” he said. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as many as 1.76 crore houses have been built in the country and out of which 7 lakh have been constructed in Karnataka, Nadda said. “And how have these houses been built? It has been built with a separate kitchen and toilet with a terrace. And the owner of these houses is not a male, but a woman who is a member of the family. We have taken care of women empowerment in this regard also,” he said. Under Garib Kalyan Yojana, as many as 4.1 crore people are beneficiaries of free ration, Nadda said. Under Pradhan Mantro Sadak Yojana, in the last three years in the regime of BS Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai, the BJP has been able to construct 2766 km roads connecting rural areas. Giving another reason for listing these achievements to the party workers, Nadda said there is no leader either in Congress or any regional party which can come forward and enlist these achievements. “There is no leader. They will make comments here and there. They will speak about casteism, regionalism, and linguism. They will speak about dividing the people, but there won’t be even two words to wipe the tears of the poor. This is my charge about other parties,” he alleged. Nadda said BJP is the only national party with an ideology and rest of them are not. BDN GK
