New Delhi, August 10: BJP MP Manish Jaiswal from Hazaribagh met with Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Monday to discuss several critical issues concerning Jharkhand. During the meeting, he raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC-CGL recruitment examinations, student protests, law and order in the state, organized crime, illegal drug trade, and the alleged plundering of mineral resources.
Jaiswal informed the Home Minister that there have been widespread allegations of irregularities and the buying and selling of seats in the JPSC and JSSC-CGL exams. He noted that candidates and students are questioning the CID investigation being conducted by the state government. In light of this, he urged that a fair investigation be carried out by the CBI.
He emphasized that the issue extends beyond just recruitment exams, as it concerns the future of over five lakh candidates in Jharkhand and their trust in the government recruitment system. Jaiswal also provided details about the demands of the protesting students and the current situation to the Home Minister.
Additionally, the MP raised concerns about the law and order situation in Jharkhand, expressing alarm over the rising organized crime and illegal activities in the state. He specifically mentioned the increasing illegal drug trade in areas such as Hazaribagh and Ramgarh. Jaiswal also highlighted issues related to the state’s mineral resources, alleging that there is a rampant exploitation of natural resources and that effective action is needed.
He asserted that there can be no compromise on the future of Jharkhand’s youth, the state’s law and order, and the protection of natural resources. Jaiswal stated that there was a detailed and meaningful discussion on all these issues with the Union Home Minister.
