A leaked design render of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra shows the date “3. April” on the lock screen. Previous leaks about the Edge 50 Pro model also showed the same date, suggesting it may be the launch date. Soon after, the company planned to launch the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India on April 3. According to this report, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is expected to release at the same time as the Pro model and at the same time also the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.
In the leaked renders, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra looks similar to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The black and peach versions of this model feature a leatherette back and a distinctive rectangular rear camera module with a glossy finish. The beige variant, on the other hand, features a textured back panel with a seamless rear camera bump instead of a separate island.
On the back, we can see that the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s rear camera island, located in the top left corner of the back panel, houses three camera sensors and a pill-shaped LED flash. According to the report, the camera setup includes a 50MP sensor with a 75mm periscope lens that is said to offer 5x optical zoom. Laser autofocus is also supported.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features a curved OLED display with a cutout in the middle of the top that houses the front camera sensor.
There’s a power button and two separate volume buttons on the right edge, while the bottom edge appears to house the SIM card tray, USB Type-C port, microphone and speaker.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is expected to come with Android 14-based Hello UI out of the box. It’s Motorola’s new user interface and is expected to include three years of operating system upgrades. The report adds that the price of the model could be around $999 (roughly Rs. 83,300).
