Moto G85 5G Design Renders Leaked; Seen With Curved Display, Slim Bezels

The Moto G85 5G is expected to launch later this year, replacing the Moto G84 5G that was launched in India in September 2023. There have been a number of reports and leaks about the Motorola phone recently, hinting at an upcoming launch. While the exact launch schedule is not yet known, renders of the smartphone’s design have already leaked online. The price of the Moto G85 5G was also recently leaked due to a random retail listing.

The leaked design of the Moto G85 5G appeared on the ToolJunction blog. The phone is blue in color with a dual rear camera module. A cutout on the module suggests that the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

The rear camera module of the Moto G85 5G has a different design than the previous model. The camera’s two sensors are housed in two separate circular blocks, positioned vertically and surrounded by an elliptical LED flash.

Based on the renders, the Moto G85 5G will have a matte textured back. The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge of the phone. There is a USB Type-C charging port on the bottom edge.

On the front, the Moto G85 5G’s curved display has thin, streamlined edges. This contrasts with the flatter, slightly thicker bezels of the older Moto G84 5G. The front panel features a punch hole in the center of the display for the front-facing camera.

The Moto G85 5G, codenamed ‘Malmo’, with an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 chipset was recently spotted on Geekbench. The phone also comes with Android 14 based user interface, Adreno 619 GPU and 8GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, a random listing on a European retail site revealed that the Moto G85 5G could be priced at €300 (roughly Rs. 27,100).
