Monsoon likely to enter Rajasthan by Tuesday

JAIPUR/Udaipur: Here is good news for the people eying on monsoon. The Jaipur Met office on Sunday said that conditions are favourable for the onset of south west monsoon in the next 48 hours. Following good rainfall in southern Rajasthan which is considered as gate for the south west monsoon on Sunday, the Jaipur Met office said that monsoon is likely to enter in the state by Tuesday. Jhalawar received a rainfall of 90 mm which was highest on Sunday.

Though majority of the places continued to witness heat wave conditions, people in southern Rajasthan witnessed a good amount of rainfall.

Churu remained hottest in the state with a maximum temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius. In Jaipur people witnessed a scorching afternoon as a maximum temperature of 41.6 accompanied with humidity of almost 70% was witnessed. Roads gave an empty look in the afternoon as people confined themselves to their homes.
