New Delhi, February 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a visit to Israel, where he addressed the Israeli Parliament and was honored with the prestigious ‘Speaker of the Knesset Medal’. Following the address, PM Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a ride to a museum.
After the lengthy session in the Knesset, PM Modi posted a photo on social media featuring himself and Netanyahu in the same car. In his post, he mentioned that they were heading to a museum after his speech in the Parliament.
PM Modi wrote, “After my speech in the Parliament, Prime Minister Netanyahu and I are going to an exhibition showcasing advancements in the world of technology.”
Earlier, PM Modi received the highest honor from Israel, the ‘Speaker of the Knesset Medal’, awarded by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana immediately after addressing the members of Parliament in Jerusalem.
In his historic speech, which marked the first address by an Indian Prime Minister to the Israeli Parliament, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the honor, describing it as a recognition of the unbreakable friendship between the two democratic nations.
This achievement further enhances PM Modi’s rare global stature, as he has become one of the few leaders to be honored at the highest level by both Israel and Palestine. In 2018, PM Modi was awarded the Grand Collar of the State of Palestine, the highest Palestinian honor for foreign individuals.
