Kolkata, December 26: The city of Kolkata is set to experience mild winter conditions with patches of fog during the morning hours in the coming days. According to the Alipore Regional Meteorological Department, partial cloud cover is expected over the next 24 hours, with temperatures likely to range between 26°C (maximum) and 17°C (minimum).

In the past 24 hours, Kolkata recorded a maximum temperature of 24.6°C, which is 1°C below normal, while the minimum temperature stood at 19.2°C, 4.7°C above normal. Morning humidity levels soared to 93%, dropping to 58% during the day. A trace amount of rainfall was also reported in the city during this period.

  • Darjeeling and Kalimpong: Northern districts will experience chilly mornings and evenings, with foggy conditions anticipated. Temperatures are expected to range between 8°C and 12°C.

Central Bengal

Districts like Birbhum, Bankura, and Purulia continue to feel the bite of winter. Cold winds during the mornings and evenings are expected, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 15°C.
