Mumbai : Marathi actor Pradeep Patwardhan died of a heart attack on Tuesday. He breathed his last at his residence in Girgaum, Mumbai. He was 52 years old. He made a separate identity by working in Marathi plays, films and serials. He was known as a comedian in Marathi films.

Pradeep Patwardhan had been keeping a distance from films for the last few months due to his ill health. Although Pradeep was known as a comedian, he also played some serious characters. He played a notable role in the Marathi drama Moruchi Mavshi. He also did memorable performances in memorable films like the Marathi films Navra Majha Navsacha, and Lau Ka Laath.
Several prominent people including Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule and actress Renuka Shahane have expressed their deep grief over his demise. Renuka Shahane paid tribute to Pradeep Patwardhan by posting a monochrome picture of him on social media.
