Major Development Projects Launched in Azamgarh and Gorakhpur

Lucknow, June 13: The Uttar Pradesh government is set to accelerate development works in Azamgarh and Gorakhpur. Over 39 major development projects costing more than ₹955 crores will be inaugurated in Azamgarh, while 319 projects worth over ₹295 crores will be launched in Gorakhpur.

On this occasion, beneficiaries of various government schemes will also receive certificates. In total, work on 358 projects, with a combined cost exceeding ₹1250 crores, will either commence or be completed in both districts.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asserted that these initiatives will provide new momentum to regional development and serve as a foundation for positive changes in public amenities, opportunities, and quality of life.

In a post on social media platform X, CM Yogi stated, “Today, the sacred land of sages and ascetics, Azamgarh, and the holy land of Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath, Gorakhpur, will witness new commitments to development, public trust, and welfare. With the inauguration and foundation-laying of 39 projects in Azamgarh and 319 projects in Gorakhpur, certificates will be distributed to beneficiaries of various schemes.”

He further added, “These projects will not only provide new momentum to regional development but will also serve as a basis for positive changes in public amenities, opportunities, and quality of life. Heartfelt congratulations to the residents of the region.”

The district administration and police department have nearly completed all arrangements for CM Yogi Adityanath’s proposed visit to Azamgarh. District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Anil Kumar have reported that extensive preparations have been made for the Chief Minister’s arrival at the Maharaja Suheldev University campus, the event venue.
