Udaipur, April 18 — On the occasion of World Heritage Day, Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Udaipur organized a special session on cultural heritage at the Hansraj Children Home, Devali. The initiative aimed at fostering awareness and pride in India’s rich heritage among young minds.
Stories of Valor and Heritage Enlighten Young Hearts
The session began with Dr. Manish Shrimali presenting an inspiring overview of Maharana Pratap’s life and legacy. He narrated real-life stories about the great warrior’s courage and commitment to his land, which captivated the young girls at the home. Motivated by these stories, the children engaged in an interactive Q&A session, asking thoughtful questions, which Dr. Shrimali answered with detailed explanations.
India Cultural Jigsaw Activity Highlights State-wise Heritage
As part of MMCF’s heritage awareness activities, a creative session titled ‘India Cultural Jigsaw’ was conducted. Children were provided with a map of India and images representing the cultural and architectural heritage of different states. They eagerly matched and placed the images correctly according to each state’s identity, creating a vibrant and educational representation of India’s unity in diversity.
Speaking about the activity, Dr. Mayank Gupta, CEO of the Foundation, said, “The aim of such heritage-based engagements is to connect young learners with India’s deep-rooted cultural legacy.”
