Light rainfall in parts of Udaipur & Rajasthan

Udaipur : Light rainfall occurred at isolated places in Udaipur and Jaipur today while the weather remained dry in rest of the state. The lack of rainfall led to rise in mercury by a few degrees in parts of the state, the MeT Department said. Sri Ganganagar was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 40.3 degrees Celsius.

Churu recorded its maximum at 38.5 degrees Celsius, while the mercury in Jaisalmer and Bikaner settled at 38.1 and 37.8 Degrees Celsius respectively, it said.  Barmer braved a hot day at 36.9 degrees Celsius, whereas Pilani also recorded a similar maximum temperature of 36.7 degrees Celsius.

Temperature in in Jaipur and Kota settled at 34.9 and 34.3 degrees Celsius. Jodhpur and Ajmer recorded their maximum temperatures at 34.1 and 33.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
