The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) have released the exam city slip for their upcoming recruitment exams. Candidates preparing for these exams can now download their city slip from the official website. It is important to note that the city slip is not the admit card but only indicates the exam city allocated to the candidate.
To download the exam city slip, candidates should visit the official website and click on the ‘Exam City Slip’ section on the homepage. After entering the application number and password, the city slip will be displayed and can be printed for future reference.
The recruitment examination for teaching and non-teaching posts is scheduled for January 10 and 11, 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts: the first shift from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the second shift from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Each exam session will last for two hours.
A total of 14,967 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment process. Of these, 9,126 posts are designated for Kendriya Vidyalayas, while 5,841 posts are for Navodaya Vidyalayas. The admit card, which is mandatory for entry into the examination hall, will be released a few days before the exam date. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates.
Many candidates are often confused about the difference between the city slip and the admit card. The city slip provides details about the exam city and is usually issued 10-15 days prior to the exam. The admit card acts as the entry pass to the exam centre and is issued 3-4 days before the exam.
