KKR Player Enters IPL 2026 Orange Cap Race

Mumbai, April 7: The race for the Orange and Purple Caps in IPL 2026 saw minimal changes following the match on April 6, which was interrupted by rain and only managed to complete 3.4 overs. During this brief play, 25 runs were scored, and two wickets fell, leaving the standings largely unaffected.

Despite the limited action, a Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player has made it into the top five for the Orange Cap. Currently, the Orange Cap holder is Samir Rizvi from Delhi Capitals, who has scored 160 runs. Following him is SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen with 145 runs, while Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma stands third with 113 runs. RCB’s Devdutt Padikkal has 111 runs, and KKR’s Ankrish Raghuvanshi rounds out the top five with 110 runs.

In the Purple Cap standings, there were no changes among the top five bowlers after the KKR versus Punjab Kings match, as the play was too short to impact the rankings. Ravi Bishnoi remains at the top, followed by Vijaykumar Vishak, Jacob Duffy, Anshul Kamboj, and T Natarajan.

The IPL 2026 continues to capture the attention of cricket fans, with players vying for these prestigious accolades.
