Irfan Bukhari recently opened an indoor cricket academy, a first in the state, to blood young players. He was himself a cricketer and therefore wanted to do something for budding cricketers at a grass-root level.
He started the academy with the help of his friends.
Bukhari says the academy is aimed at promoting cricketing activities in the state and will provide opportunities to talented cricketers. It currently has a turf and a balling machine.
Young cricketers hailed the facility as they can now practice throughout the year irrespective of all weather conditions.
