Karnataka polls: All parties make victory claims

Dismissing speculations of hung assembly Yeddyurappa yesterday told reporters in Bengaluru that  people have voted with enthusiasm and higher voter turnout in the polls gives him the hope of getting an absolute majority in the new assembly.

BJP President Amit Shah also expressed confidence that BJP will form government in Karnataka on Tuesday. He was addressing Party workers in Goa yesterday.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also expressed confidence that Congress will get absolute majority and he will win from both the constituencies, he contested from.

Reacting to the talk about Dalit Chief Minister for Karnataka, he told media persons in Mysuru that if high command and legislative party desires, he is ready to accept the suggestion without any hesitation. He also pointed out that this was his last election and that he will act as a mentor for his party.

Meanwhile, Opposition parties have termed this statement of Siddharamaiah as sign of nervousness ahead of results.

Counting of votes will take place tomorrow.
