Jio Platforms IPO to Launch on NSE and BSE October 28, 2026
Jio Platforms IPO shares will debut on NSE and BSE following record bids, with a focus on technology growth.

Jio Platforms’ initial public offering (IPO) shares are set to debut on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on October 28, 2026. The company plans to list 27 crore equity shares, generating proceeds of ₹30,213 crore.
The IPO attracted unprecedented interest, receiving bids for over 4.38 billion shares, about 22 times the amount reserved for investors. Institutional buyers showed significant engagement, with qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) applying for approximately 70.55 times the shares available to them. Non-institutional investors subscribed at 14 times and retail investors at 2.72 times, according to data from the NSE.
The overall demand for the IPO and its anchor investor placement surpassed ₹7.4 lakh crore, with over 1.39 crore applications submitted, breaking the previous record of 97.34 crore applications set by Waaree Energies in 2024.
Jio Platforms aims to use a portion of the fresh funds, specifically ₹27,500 crore, for repaying outstanding borrowings from its subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, while the remainder will go towards general corporate purposes. Managing Director Akash Ambani stated that the company intends to leverage advancements in technology, artificial intelligence, and cloud services for growth beyond telecommunications.
Effective October 27, shares will be transferred to the dematerialized accounts of successful allottees, while refunds for unsuccessful applicants will also be processed that day.
In the context of legal fees associated with the IPO, Jio Platforms has allocated ₹30 crore, representing 6.39 percent of its total IPO expenses, estimated at ₹469.7 crore. The company did not disclose specific fees for the law firms involved, which included prominent firms advising both the company and the book-running lead managers.
Jio Platforms, founded in 2019, offers services such as mobile and broadband connectivity, entertainment, and cloud solutions, serving over 524 million customers in India as of March 31, 2026. The company uses a comprehensive in-house technology stack to support its operations and innovation in the digital space.
