Ranchi, May 3: The Indian National Congress has approved the formation of a state-level ‘Political Affairs Committee’ to strengthen its organization in Jharkhand. According to an official press release issued by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the committee will take charge immediately.
A total of 34 members have been included in this newly formed committee, prioritizing prominent leaders from the state as well as active grassroots figures. Key names in the committee include State In-Charge K. Raju, State President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, former minister Alamgir Alam, and former State President Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, along with ministers Radhakrishna Kishore, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Deepika Pandey Singh, former state minister Banna Gupta, and senior leader Subodhkant Sahay.
Among the legislators included in the committee are Bhushan Bara, Mamta Devi, Kumar Jaymangal, Naman Vixal Kongaadi, Pradeep Yadav, Rajesh Kachhap, and Suresh Baitha.
The formation of the committee aims to ensure representation from various regions and social classes of Jharkhand. The list also features prominent leaders like Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, Furkan Ansari, and Bandhu Tirkey.
Political analysts believe that the main objective of this committee is to improve coordination within the coalition government in Jharkhand and to prepare a roadmap for the party ahead of upcoming elections. The PAC also includes the Jharkhand in-charge, AICC secretaries, and heads of all frontal organizations and departments of the state Congress as ex-officio members to ensure broad participation in the decision-making process.
