New Delhi (Udaipur Kiran): The registration process for JEE Main 2026 has officially started on the National Testing Agency (NTA) website — jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech, B.E., B.Arch, and B.Planning programmes can now apply online. The last date to submit the application form is November 27, 2025.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exams will be held from January 21 to 30, while Session 2 will take place from April 1 to 10, 2026.
Here are the 10 most important things candidates need to know about JEE Main 2026:
1. Keep Aadhaar and Documents Updated
NTA has advised candidates to keep their Aadhaar, UDID, and category certificates updated before filling out the form to avoid mismatches. The agency clarified that this update advisory has no connection with city allotment. Discrepancies between Aadhaar, Class 10 certificates, or supporting documents have caused issues in past registrations.
2. Exam Dates and Sessions
The exam will be conducted in two sessions:

3. Eligibility Criteria
There is no age limit for JEE Main 2026.
Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, or are appearing in 2026, are eligible.
Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects.
Engineering institutes generally require at least 75% marks for admission.

5. Exam Pattern

10. Admission to IITs via JEE Advanced
After both JEE Main sessions, NTA will release ranks based on the best NTA scores.
The top 2,50,000 candidates will be eligible for JEE Advanced, which is the gateway to IIT admissions.
To qualify for IIT admission, candidates must score at least 75% marks in Class 12 or rank among the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
