Srinagar, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been closed for vehicular movement following landslides, falling rocks, and soil erosion triggered by heavy rainfall at multiple locations.

According to officials from the Traffic Department, the Mughal Road, SSG Road, and Sinthan Top have also been shut due to snow accumulation.
Authorities have urged commuters and transporters to avoid travelling on these routes until they are fully restored. Clearance operations are currently underway with the deployment of personnel and machinery at key points.
Officials have also appealed to the public to avoid rumours and verify road conditions only through official traffic control sources before planning any journey.
