Srinagar, April 1 – The Meteorological Department in Srinagar has released a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting largely dry conditions across most of the Union Territory over the next several days. However, isolated light snowfall is expected in higher altitude regions, especially in northern Kashmir and around the Sonamarg-Zojila axis.

April 8: Another round of light snowfall possible in the higher reaches of northern Kashmir and Sonamarg.

April 9–10: Partly to mostly cloudy skies expected with isolated rain and snowfall in parts of Kashmir, and scattered light rain in the Jammu region.
Advisory for Residents and Visitors
The MeT center has advised travelers, tourists, and transport operators to follow directions issued by local administrative and traffic authorities during this period, especially if planning visits to snow-prone or mountainous areas.
For farmers, the department has recommended continuing with ongoing agricultural activities, as no major weather disruption is expected for the upcoming week.
