Jaipur Ready for 78th Army Day Parade 2026

The historic 78th Army Day Parade is set to take place in Jaipur for the first time on 15 January 2026, following a successful full-dress rehearsal on 9 January. The event highlights India’s strong dedication to National Defence and the spirit of its armed forces.

Under the supervision of Major General Rohit Mehrotra, Sub Area Commander, the rehearsal demonstrated months of detailed planning and preparation. Every contingent, from the Bhairav Battalions and NCC Girls Contingent to horsed cavalry and elite infantry units, moved with precise coordination, reflecting the discipline and unity of the Indian Army.

The parade showcased a wide array of military assets, including artillery guns, light reconnaissance vehicles, tanks, infantry combat vehicles, air defence missiles, guns, and surveillance drones, highlighting India’s technological advancements. Canine units trained for combat, detection, and rescue also participated, demonstrating the multifaceted capabilities of the Army.

The aerial segment featured Army Aviation helicopters and Indian Air Force fighter aircraft performing perfectly timed fly-pasts, while paramotors and motorcycle displays added speed and excitement to the ground proceedings. These displays underscored the physical excellence and innovation of the Indian Army.

The flawless execution of the rehearsal affirmed the high level of discipline, professionalism, and operational excellence of the Indian Army. Major General Rohit Mehrotra’s leadership ensured every formation, vehicle deployment, and fly-past was conducted seamlessly, validating the extensive efforts of the Army, local authorities, and security agencies.
