Irans Strategic Support for Hezbollah, Says Mojtaba Khamenei

Tehran, July 26: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei stated in a letter to Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem that supporting Hezbollah is a “strategic responsibility” for Iran.

In response to Qassem’s letter reaffirming his loyalty to Iran, Khamenei praised the organization. According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), he noted that Hezbollah stands “like a strong rock” against Israel’s “ferocious aggression.”

Khamenei emphasized that, in line with the policy set by the great martyr leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the protection of these oppressed yet powerful Mujahideen as its strategic duty. He acknowledged that the letter from Hezbollah deserves admiration and respect.

Last week, Khamenei remarked that the recent violation of a peace agreement (MoU) with Iran by the United States once again proves that the signatures of U.S. President Donald Trump are worthless and invalid. He made this statement in a message to the Iranian people, which was published by local media, discussing significant national issues.

Khamenei reiterated that the repeated violations of the MoU by the U.S. have demonstrated that the signature of the American president holds no value. He stated that the U.S. has “once again revealed its true face,” asserting that this experience of crime and broken promises is further evidence that the U.S. lies and its behavior is unreliable, irrational, and wrong.

He warned that if the U.S. continues its war-like policies and attempts to exert more pressure on Iran, it should expect responses from Iran and the “Resistance Front” that it will never forget.
