New Delhi, March 02, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — Iran has carried out a drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s Aramco, the world’s largest oil company. Following the attack, Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil giant Aramco has shut down its Ras Tanura oil refinery as a precautionary measure.

According to a Reuters report, the drone strike targeted facilities linked to Aramco, which is described as the world’s largest oil tank and oil company based in Dubai. After the incident, Aramco closed the Ras Tanura refinery on Monday to ensure safety.
A senior official confirmed that the refinery was shut down purely as a precaution. The official stated that the situation is under control.
The development had an immediate impact on global oil markets. Reports of the refinery closure led to a sharp rise in Brent crude oil prices, which increased by 9.32 percent.
