Apple will launch the iPhone 16 family in September, and today there’s a new rumor from China that reveals the exact battery capacity of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The former is said to have a 3,577mAh cell, which is more than 9 percent larger than the iPhone 15 Pro’s 3,274mAh battery. The iPhone 16 Pro Max’s battery has a capacity of 4676 mAh, which is more than 5% more than the 4441 mAh battery of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Of course, these gains aren’t huge, but it’s still good to see Apple continuing to make progress in this area. Even this small increase in physical capacity, along with possible improvements in chipset and display panel performance, could result in longer lifespans for future iPhone models.
According to rumors, both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will support 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe wireless charging. This increase over the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max is 27W and 15W respectively and could also mean a good quality of life improvement for owners of the upcoming devices.
