Mumbai, May 5: The excitement for dance reality shows in India continues to thrive as the popular show ‘India’s Best Dancer’ makes a comeback for its fifth season. This time, the judging panel features several prominent names, raising audience expectations even higher.
Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, actor and dancer Javed Jaffrey, renowned choreographer Geeta Kapoor, and Terence Lewis will take on the role of judges in this new season.
Karisma Kapoor expressed her joy about returning to the show, stating, “Coming back to this stage feels like returning home. Every dancer who comes here brings their emotions and culture with them. I am excited to witness the passion and hard work of the dancers once again.”
Javed Jaffrey also shared his excitement about returning to the judging panel after a long hiatus. He remarked, “Returning to such a show after nearly a decade is very special for me. I look for not just perfect steps, but also the energy and unique identity in the dancer that captivates the audience.”
This season’s special theme is ‘India Wala Dance,’ showcasing the country’s diversity and culture. The show will be hosted by Harsh Limbachiya and will feature various dance forms, including Bollywood styles and traditional dances.
Geeta Kapoor commented on the show’s evolution, saying, “With each season, the show’s level keeps rising, but its true identity remains ‘India Wala Dance.’ I am looking for dancers who dance not just with their feet but with their hearts. Real dance touches the heart.”
Terence Lewis shared his thoughts on dance, stating, “Any dancer can learn technique, but true artistry emerges when emotions are involved. I believe that merely executing the right moves is not enough; dance must have soul and expression to truly resonate with people.”
‘India’s Best Dancer 5’ will premiere on May 9 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Liv.
