Indian Railways: Four Special MEMU Trains Between Faridabad and Agra Cancelled Until October 31
Faridabad, October 27, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Passengers travelling between Faridabad and Agra will face inconvenience as four special local MEMU trains have been cancelled until October 31 due to technical work on the railway track.

The railway administration is carrying out pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking work, along with yard remodelling, to modernise the signalling system and improve track safety. The work is underway on the Palwal-Rundhi rail section.
The temporary cancellation is intended to ensure passenger safety and allow the technical work to be completed without disruption. However, the move is expected to affect daily commuters who depend on these trains to travel between Agra, Mathura, Palwal and Faridabad.
Four Special MEMU Trains Cancelled Until October 31
The following four trains will remain cancelled until October 31, 2026:
- Train No. 01941: Agra Cantt to Palwal
- Train No. 01942: Palwal to Agra Cantt
- Train No. 01943: Agra Cantt to Rundhi
- Train No. 01944: Rundhi to Agra Cantt
Passengers who regularly use these services are advised to check alternative travel options before starting their journeys.
Daily Commuters Likely to Face Inconvenience
The cancellations are expected to affect daily passengers the most, particularly people travelling from Agra and Mathura to Faridabad for work.
With the four local services unavailable, commuters may need to use other trains or make alternative travel arrangements. This could increase travel time and expenses. The cancellation may also lead to heavier crowds on other local trains operating along the route.
A daily commuter quoted in the report said that he regularly used these trains and had already experienced longer journeys following their cancellation. The increased crowding on other local services has added to the inconvenience.
Railway Work on Palwal-Rundhi Section
The railway administration is undertaking signalling upgrades, safety-related track work and yard remodelling on the Palwal-Rundhi section. The work includes pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking procedures required for changes to railway signalling and track operations.
Passengers travelling on this route should plan ahead and confirm the availability of alternative services until the cancelled trains resume operations.
