
Udaipur : An IIMA student died by drowning in an artificial lake in Lai village, Govardhan Vilas district of Udaipur on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Rikul (22), son of Sandesh Kumar, a resident of Rohtak.
According to police, Rikul had gone to the lake with his friends for a picnic on Sunday. While bathing, he slipped and fell into the water. His friends saw him drowning and raised an alarm. Villagers pulled him out of the water and took him to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and launched an investigation. Police said that Rikul was a first-year student at IIMA.
The deceased’s family has been informed. The body was handed over to the family after conducting a post-mortem.
