The ASEAN India Film Festival began in New Delhi on Friday.
The six-day event was inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that there is a lot of similarity between India and the ASEAN nations be it historically or culturally.
The Union Minister also said that the Information and Broadcasting ministry is taking measures to create and promote film festivals with ASEAN, BRICS and European nations.
