WhatsApp now offers a new feature allowing users to link their email addresses with their accounts. This feature provides flexibility by enabling users to receive OTP verification codes via email if they’re unable to receive them via SMS.

Primarily aimed at addressing issues with SMS delivery or login difficulties, this feature is currently being rolled out to iPhone users and is accessible on Android through the latest beta version.
To access the feature on Android, users must enroll in the WhatsApp Beta program via the Google Play Store. Simply search for WhatsApp, navigate to the listing, and join the beta tester program.
Here’s how to link your email address with your WhatsApp account:
- Open the WhatsApp application on your device.
- Access the settings menu by tapping the three dots at the top-right corner.
- Select “Accounts” from the settings menu.
- Choose “Email address” under the Accounts section.
- Input your desired email address.
- Once entered, you’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on the provided email.
- Enter the OTP into the designated field on WhatsApp to verify and link your email address.
Following these steps will successfully link your email address with your WhatsApp account, enhancing functionality and security.
