Jaipur, October 30 (Udaipur Kiran): The RajasthanAnti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught Home Guard Police Line Company Commander Chandrashekhar Sharma red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹4,000 in Jaipur.
Director General of ACB, Govind Gupta, informed that the complainant — who is himself a Home Guard — had lodged a complaint alleging that the accused Company Commander was demanding a bribe of ₹5,000 in exchange for assigning him duty.
Following the verification of the complaint, the ACB team organised a trap operation during which the accused officer was caught red-handed while accepting ₹4,000 as a bribe.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Jaipur Range DIG Anil Qayal and led by Additional Superintendent of Police (SIU) Sandeep Saraswat. Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Pancholi and his team executed the trap successfully.
Under the direction of Additional Director General of Police, ACB, Smita Srivastava, the accused is being interrogated. A case has been registered against him under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway.
