Udaipur, April 4 (Udaipur Kiran): Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer, has announced its production performance for the fourth quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026, reporting record achievements in mined and refined metal output.

Hindustan Zinc Reports Record FY26 Production

The company recorded its highest-ever quarterly mined metal production at 315 thousand tonnes (kt) in 4QFY26, marking a 2% year-on-year growth. For the full financial year FY26, mined metal production reached a record 1,114 kt, up 2% compared to the previous year.

Refined metal production also achieved a record quarterly high of 282 kt, reflecting a 5% increase year-on-year. However, annual refined metal output stood at 1,048 kt, slightly lower by 0.4% compared to FY25.

Among key segments, refined zinc production rose to 227 kt in the fourth quarter, up 6% year-on-year, while annual refined zinc output reached 851 kt, registering a 3% growth. Refined lead production for the quarter stood at 55 kt, marginally down by 2%, while the annual figure declined by 13% to 197 kt.

Silver production during the quarter was recorded at 176 tonnes, remaining largely stable year-on-year but rising 11% sequentially. For the full year, silver output stood at 627 tonnes, down 9% compared to FY25.

The company attributed its strong quarterly and annual performance to higher ore production, improved grades, enhanced operational efficiency, and additional capacity unlocked through debottlenecking projects at Chanderiya and Dariba.

Wind power generation during the quarter stood at 56 million units (MU), while annual generation increased by 7% to 372 MU, in line with wind velocity trends.

Overall, the company’s FY26 performance reflects steady growth in core production areas, supported by operational improvements and capacity enhancements.
