Himachal Police Constable Recruitment Results Declared; 1,045 Candidates Selected

Shimla, October 18 (Udaipur Kiran): The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has declared the final results of the Police Constable recruitment examination. After completing the screening test and document verification, a total of 1,045 candidates have been found eligible against 1,088 advertised posts, including 676 men and 369 women.

Commission Secretary Nivedita Negi informed that the list of selected candidates has been forwarded to the state government for appointment. Their final posting in the police department will be made after verification of original documents. The Commission emphasized that the recruitment process was conducted in a completely transparent and fair manner.

Out of the total vacancies, 708 posts were reserved for men, but 32 remained vacant due to a lack of eligible candidates in certain categories. Similarly, 380 posts were advertised for women, out of which 11 remained unfilled. In total, 43 posts have remained vacant.

The written examination for the recruitment was held on June 15, and its results were announced on August 2. Based on those results, 1,343 male and 621 female candidates were called for document verification, which took place between September 24 and 29. After thorough scrutiny, the Commission released the final merit list on Friday evening.

The Commission clarified that candidates whose documents or qualification certificates did not meet the required criteria were not included in the selection list. The final merit list has been uploaded on the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, where candidates can check their results.
