Valsad, Gujarat: The Valsad district of Gujarat is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to the overflowing of all rivers in the region. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), more heavy rains are expected in the coming days.
Rivers Overflow, Roads Closed
The heavy downpour has caused the Auranga, Par, Kolk, Damanganga, Maan, and Tan rivers to overflow their banks. As a result, 49 roads in the district have been closed due to overtopping.
District Administration on Alert
The Valsad district administration is on high alert in view of the rising water levels in the rivers. NDRF teams have been deployed in the affected areas to assist in rescue and relief operations.
Residents Advised to Stay Safe
Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid venturing into flooded areas. They are also advised to follow the instructions of the district administration and NDRF teams.
