Jaipur, July 27 (Udaipur Kiran): The monsoon remains active in the state, leading to continuous rainfall. On Saturday, light to heavy rain was recorded in more than a dozen cities, including Jaipur. Kota and Jhalawar received heavy rainfall. Six gates of the Kota barrage have been opened, releasing 50,000 cusecs of water. Inflow of water continues in the Rana Pratap Sagar Dam in Rawatbhata, Chittorgarh. So far, 75,510 cusecs of water has been received. The highest rainfall of 93 mm was recorded in Panchpahar, Jhalawar. Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 30.9 degrees Celsius. Besides, the day temperature of Bikaner and Falaudi was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius.
According to the Water Resources Department, 76 mm of rainfall was recorded in Gangdhar, Jhalawar, 75 mm in Dag, 56 mm in Pirava, 88 mm in Kanwas, Kota, 78 mm in Chechat, 63 mm in Mandana, 52 mm in Ramganjmandi, 57 mm in Kota City, 65 mm in Bahrawanda, Dausa, 46 mm in Bhilwara, and 44 mm in Anta, Baran.
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall was recorded in Dausa, Baran, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Alwar, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Karauli, and other cities. A low-pressure area has formed over West Bengal and adjoining Odisha, and the monsoon trough line is in a normal position. The monsoon is likely to remain active over most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next 5-7 days, and rainfall activities are likely to continue. During this period, heavy rainfall is likely in some parts of Kota, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions. Some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions in western Rajasthan are likely to receive rainfall in the coming days. Rainfall activities are likely to increase during 29-31 July, with moderate to heavy rainfall in some places.

The maximum temperature of Jaipur was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 27.4 degrees Celsius. According to the Water Resources Department, 23 mm of rainfall was recorded in Jaipur. However, Jaipur witnessed scattered rainfall. Some places received heavy rain while some places received light rain.
