Bhopal, April 9 (Udaipur Kiran): A sharp rise in temperature is expected across Madhya Pradesh from April 10, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting an increase of 5 to 6 degrees Celsius in daytime temperatures.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhopal, weather activity will remain active on Thursday, with rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds likely in several districts.
An alert has been issued for the next 24 hours in districts including Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori, Anuppur, Mandla, Seoni and Balaghat, where stormy conditions with lightning and light rainfall are expected.
On Wednesday, more than 15 districts, including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Raisen, Shivpuri, Ratlam, Chhatarpur, Narmadapuram, Ujjain, Indore and Dhar, witnessed rainfall, leading to a temporary drop in temperatures.
Meteorological conditions on Wednesday were influenced by three active cyclonic circulations over the northern, eastern, and western parts of the state, resulting in widespread weather activity. Bhopal also experienced light rain and strong winds.
The department has indicated that a new western disturbance is likely to become active over northwest India on April 11, though its impact on Madhya Pradesh is expected to be minimal.
Strong winds are also expected on Thursday, with wind speeds ranging between 40 to 60 kmph in some districts, while other areas may witness winds of 30 to 40 kmph. Weather conditions are likely to change after the afternoon.
