Mumbai, April 14 : In a shocking incident, two unidentified persons fired shots outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Bandra home early this morning, officials said on Sunday.
According to locals, two unidentified men wearing helmets sped on a motorcycle and fired at least four rounds towards Galaxy Apartments before speeding away on the dark and deserted road.
Salman Khan has been facing threats from some Punjab-based mafia groups, including the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
He and his father Salim Khan have received death threats in various forms over the past few years. A letter was also sent to the family.
It is not yet known whether Salman Khan was at home at the time.
A team of Bandra police rushed to Khan’s house and began investigations. Security has been beefed up in the area.
Police are scanning CCTV footage of the area to identify the gunmen.
