Gujarat Titans Defeat Rajasthan Royals by 77 Runs in IPL 2026

New Delhi, May 10: In a thrilling encounter of IPL 2026, the Gujarat Titans (GT) triumphed over the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a significant margin of 77 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. This victory propelled GT from fifth to second place in the points table, while RR slipped out of the top four for the first time this season.

Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 229 runs for the loss of four wickets. In response, the Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for just 152 runs in 16.3 overs.

Following this match, the points table sees Sunrisers Hyderabad leading with seven wins from 11 matches, followed by Gujarat Titans also with seven wins. Punjab Kings hold the third spot with six wins from 10 matches, while Royal Challengers Bangalore are fourth with six wins from the same number of matches. Rajasthan Royals now sit in fifth place with six wins from 11 matches.

The Chennai Super Kings are sixth with five wins from 10 matches, Kolkata Knight Riders are seventh with four wins from 10, Delhi Capitals are eighth with four wins from 11, Mumbai Indians are ninth with three wins from 10, and Lucknow Super Giants are last with three wins from 10 matches.

The differences in team rankings are attributed to their net run rates despite having the same number of wins.

In individual accolades, the Purple Cap has been claimed by GT’s fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, who took two wickets in the match against RR, bringing his total to 18 wickets in 11 matches. The Orange Cap is held by Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who has scored 494 runs in 11 matches.
