UDAIPUR, June 1, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) : Several programmes will be organised in Udaipur to mark the 486th birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap. The events will be held under the joint aegis of Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha Sansthan Udaipur City and Udaipur Municipal Corporation, with participation from various communities and organisations across the division. Preparations for the celebrations have already begun.
Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha City President Dr. Prithviraj Singh Chauhan said that the celebrations will commence on June 10. The main programme will be held on June 17, when members of various communities and organisations will pay floral tributes at the statue of Maharana Pratap at Moti Magri at 7:30 am. A grand procession will begin from Pratap Smarak at 8 am and will be welcomed at the Town Hall gate at 10:30 am. The main ceremony and public meeting will then be held at Sukhadia Rangmanch at 11 am.
Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha Sansthan President Balusingh Kanawat said that the first programme on June 10 will involve worship at Haldighati Pass and bringing sacred soil from the site. Worship rituals will also be performed at the Gogunda Rajtilak Sthali. In Udaipur, a Pratap Abhishek and Aarti programme will be held at Shri Ram Mandir, Sector 11. Milk ablution and garlanding of Maharana Pratap’s statue will take place at the Nagar Nigam Shaurya Gallery. Worship will also be performed before Maharana Pratap’s statue at Shri Chaturbhuj Hanuman Temple, Haridasji Ki Magri.
Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha representative Yaduraj Singh Thana said that on June 11, garlanding and a goodwill meeting will be held at the statue of Hakim Khan Suri at Moti Magri. A Maha Aarti of Maharana Pratap will be organised at Bhuvana Chauraha, while 486 lamps will be lit at Gangaur Ghat.
Pratap Jayanti Celebration Convener Premsingh Shaktawat said that on June 12, floral tributes will be paid at Maharana Pratap’s statue at Rana Pratap Railway Station. Worship and a discussion programme will be held at the Pannadhay site on the ship-shaped island at Govardhan Sagar, while worship will also be offered at the statue of Rana Punja at Reti Stand.
Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha Sansthan General Secretary Dilipsingh Bansi said that on June 13, an Akhand Ramayan Path and milk ablution of Lord Mahadev will be organised at Shiv Park Temple in Akashvani Colony, Purohiton Ki Madri. Worship and lamp lighting will be held at Hadi Rani Chauraha, Salumber. Floral tributes will be offered at the statue of Maharana Uday Singh at the Traffic Police Post, Udiapol. On the same day, tribute and weapon worship will be organised at Kalka Mata Temple, Hathipol.
Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha City Secretary Bhawanisingh Rathore said that on June 14, a worship programme will be held at the Bhamashah statue at Hathipol Chauraha. A blood donation camp will be organised at Hotel The Park Classic on Durganursery Road. Chetak horse worship, performances by women, a Shaurya Talwar Raas, patriotic dance performances on skates, and displays of feats by wrestlers from traditional akhadas will also be organised at Chetak Chauraha.
Seven-day programme convener Kamlendra Singh Panwar said that on June 15, worship and a seminar will be held for Jhala Maan at Moti Magri Memorial. Maharana Pratap statue worship will take place at Rajasthan Agricultural College, while a lamp-lighting ceremony and lecture series will be organised at Gawari Chauraha.
On June 16, tourists arriving at City Railway Station will be welcomed with soil brought from Haldighati. On the eve of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, lamp lighting, milk ablution and garlanding will be performed at Maharana Pratap’s statue at Upbhokta Bhandar, Pratap Nagar, and at Maharana Pratap Bus Stand near Bhutala Bus Stand. A grand fireworks display will also be organised at Hotel Maharana Palace, Dakan Kotda, Jaisamand Road.
