Gourav Vallabh Quits Congress

New Delhi: Congress leader and spokesperson Gulab Vallabh tendered his resignation from the Congress party on Thursday ahead of the general elections.

Gaurav Vallabh contested the 2023 Rajasthan assembly elections as a candidate from Udaipur constituency, but the BJP candidate won easily with a margin of over 32,000 votes. BJP’s Tarachand Jain got 97,466 votes and Vallabh got 64,695 votes.

Vallabh contested his first by-election from Jamshedpur East in Jharkhand state in 2019 and secured over 18,000 votes, ultimately finishing third behind incumbent minister Raghubar Das and Saryu Roy.
